Mexie’s Food Truck has become a highly popular option around the Quad Cities and surrounding areas. It serves several options all created with homemade meats and ingredients as well as locally sourced produce. The delicious and affordable food truck is usually found at farmers markets and also caters out to different events for schools, weddings and many others. The owner started up the truck herself and uses her cultural upbringing to bring authentic Mexican food to her customers and always makes sure she keeps them happy. By using her own recipes and experience they never disappoint with their food. Authentic food trucks such as Mexie’s help to remind us how convenient and important it is to be able to not only learn more about Hispanic cultures but also other cultures in general as the variety of food trucks continues to grow in popularity. Their upcoming events include Mercado on Fifth from 5pm-10pm in Moline, and at Freight House Farmers Market Sat. 10am-1pm and Sun. 11am-2pm if you would like to try it out.
