I tried the new CeraVe Cleanser for a week. Here’s how it went.

We all love a great skincare routine. Well, I know I do. Before I received the Community Care Package from the Campus Trendsetter’s program, I used a literal bar of soap that was meant for sensitive skin, as well as a facial spray. That’s it. What’s even worse is that I have extremely volatile skin, and by that, I mean that my skin is so prone to breakouts that even the slightest change in my “routine” causes a reaction!

However, the Community Care Package included trial sizes of the new CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser (this version for normal/dry skin). At first, I was a little hesitant to try it in fear of walking into class with more than just a bad case of “maskne.” I was actually surprised, though, to find that this cleanser was that of my wildest dreams.

The single fluid ounce bottle offers up a variety of benefits, including makeup removal and a clean, hydrated feel after you pat your face dry.

My favorite part, though, is the fact that the cleanser left my face looking clean, too. I have pretty oily skin (insert sad violin noises), so my face develops an unsettling shiny look throughout the day. By the time I take my mask off after getting back from work, I look like I walked through the rain… gross. This cleanser not only decreased the “shiny look,” but it also reduced the redness in my face. I was able to notice my natural skin tone even better, and my oiliness had seemingly slipped away.

Overall, I give the cleanser a 10/10. As I said before, my skin is so sensitive to changes that it’s not even funny, but the CeraVe cleanser made my face look and feel so much better. If you are looking for a cleanser that is safe for sensitive skin, I recommend checking this cleanser out!
