The Fire Within Series by Chris D’Lacey
When suggested this book by my younger brother and younger cousin, I was a little hesitant. I’m a big “magical” fan (Um, hello, Harry Potter, anyone??) but I was afraid it would be too “young” for me. Perhaps it is, but I’m in love with these books! I’m still reading the fifth one right now, but once I started with The Fire Within, I was hooked. Want an adventure about dragons, squirrels, and sibyls? Grab a hold of these books and get reading!
The Host by Stephanie Meyer
Honestly, I’m not the sci-fi type of person, but I picked this book up when I was going through my Twilight phase (okay, I’m still going through my Twilight phase…), but you Twi-haters, don’t hate on The Host! Go on an incredibly intriguing journey with an alien “host” inside of a human body, where the human inside speaks to the “host” about the love she had – and where to find him. Dangerous and fun, you won’t want to put The Host down!
The Bride Quartet by Nora Roberts
Many of us collegiettes™ grew up dreaming about running our own business with our friends. That may or may not have happened, but we can read about it in Nora Robert’s fashion either way! Four friends run a wedding planning business – one as the planner, one as the baker, one as the photographer, and one as the florist – out of their own house and go on their own romantic journeys. Buy or rent the four books (Vision in White, Bed Of Roses, Savor the Moment, and Happy Ever After) and lend them to your friends as well!
