Singer, performer, dancer, choreographer, musician, student, RA. For many people these might just seem like hobbies or professions, but for this week’s Campus Celebrity, Emma Williams, they are just a few things that describe her busy lifestyle.

Emma is a junior here at St. Ambrose, and she is studying Public Relations. After graduating in the spring of 2014, Emma has big plans. She hopes to use her PR degree to work in Student Affairs, but that is just the start.

“My dream would be working at the University of Iowa in Admissions or Advancement, while working on my Masters in Communication Studies.”

Moving to Iowa City will not only be a great opportunity for Emma, but also for her fiancé, Aaron. Yes, that’s right, wedding bells are in the air! Emma and Aaron met during her freshman year, while she was applying to be an RA.

“It sounds really cheesy, but I swear it was love at first sight.”

After Emma was hired the couple started talking, and they haven’t stopped since. Their relationship took its first big step during RA training Emma’s freshman year. Two years later, during RA training, Aaron took an even bigger step. He asked Emma to marry him on August 15. The two have created the perfect Res Life romance.

The couple will be getting married in the Quad Cities on September 6, 2014, after Emma earns her Bachelor’s Degree, and Aaron finishes up Graduate school.

This year has started off great for Emma. In addition to being a student, RA and Pinterest wedding planner, she is also choreographing a musical. Emma and her family play a large role at a community theatre in Moline, the Quad City Music Guild. This summer the theatre will be preforming “Cabaret,” and Emma will be the choreographer.

It is impossible to think that she has any spare time at all, but when she does, Emma enjoys running, biking, reading and playing the French horn.

Emma’s life seems to be full of nothing but excitement: in 2012, she got engaged, in 2013, she made her first big purchase, and bought a car. Who’s to say what 2014 has in store for her, but by the sounds of it, the best is yet to come for Emma Williams.
