Lady Bird

One of the best coming of age high school graduation movies. Beautifully written and cast. The movie centers around a fierce high school senior and her relationships with her family, friends, and romantic partners. Such a great film.

This movie is available on Netflix

She’s the Man

If you’re a fan of early 2000s films, watch this!!! Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum are *chefs kiss*. This movie is the ultimate girl power sports story. With a modern twist on Shakespeare’s Twelf Night, this movie is the perfect combo of comedy, romance, and empowerment.

This movie is available with a premium Hulu subscription and for rent on Amazon Prime

Pitch Perfect

Pitch Perfect was a movie that shaped my middle school years. This is a hilarious film about a competitive, all-female a capella group and their journey to success. Pitch Perfect has an uplifting and empowering vibe and it’s perfect for a girls night in!

This movie is available with a premium Hulu subscription, HBOmax, and on Amazon Prime

Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement

While both Princess Diaries films have that girl power vibe, the second film drives that message home. This movie really emphasized the idea that you. don’t. need. a. man!!

This movie is available on Disney+

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

This movie is all about the power of friendship. Four friends spend a summer apart and support each other from afar while sharing a ~magical~ pair of pants. If you’re missing your friends or watching this with them, Sisterhood will tug on your heartstrings and make you appreciate all of the ladies in your life.

This movie is available on HBOmax and for rent on Amazon Prime

I hope all of you have an amazing Women’s History Month. Take some time for yourself and check out one of these movies (or all of them)!
