Everyone right now is looking for a fall activity that they can do with friends and families without having to be too close to anyone and still have an element of fun. Apple picking is an amazing outdoor activity that can be fun for the whole family! There are multiple cities that have apple orchards, and many are really easy to get to by car. Stretch your legs and have fun picking your own fresh apples, while maintaining a safe distance. There are so many types of apples like Honeycrisp, Granny Apple, Boner, the possibilities are endless. Each apple has a unique taste, you might just have to grab one of each!

Once you grab your apples you can take them home and use them to bake pies, make jams and jellies, or just eat with some caramel. If apple picking is just not your thing, most apple orchards have tons of other things to do such as shop their local produce, eat some yummy home cooked food, or even hayrack rides. I know when I go with my family I always have the best time. Something about the crisp fall air, and the smell of an apple orchard really gets you in the spirit of fall.

Hello! My name is Haley Petz and I am a sophomore at SAU. I have a double major, which are social work and psychology. I love animals and even have a cat living in the dorm with me. I am also on the SAU White squad dance team! I love to have fun with friends and being with people is always when I have the most fun. If I had three words to describe myself it would be caring, outgoing, and smart.
