On February 13, KALA unveiled The Stinger, the new online, student-run radio station. This station will offer 24/7 programming and music to rival online stations such as Pandora, iTunes Radio, and Spotify. The Stinger offers a unique twist: completely commercial-free listening. As per the results of student voting, the station will feature a mix of pop, country, and alternative music, as well as a few specialty programs.
