You have probably seen this week’s campus celebrity around Ambrose. As president of CAB, Alison helps plan events around campus for all of you collegiettes™ to enjoy! She was even crowned as SAU’s homecoming queen this year. Get to know Ambrose’s very own royalty, Alison Mooney.

Major: Undergrad-Exercise Science with minors in Biology and Psychology. Graduate- Doctor of Physical Therapy Program
What clubs/extracurricular activities are you involved with on campus?
I am President of CAB, and am involved with Campus Ministry.
What is your favorite band?
Jack’s Mannequin, I have seen them in concert 11 times.
What is your favorite movie?
Inception
What is your favorite genre of music?
I like piano-rock music.
Who are your favorite professors?

Rome and Christianity with Father Budand Intro to Sacraments with Father DeFransisco
In your years here at Ambrose what have been your favorite CAB activities?
I really like the Saturday of homecoming week. My first year as an executive on CAB, I was homecoming chair. I love the Taste of Ambrose, the football game, and everything else that shows how great the St. Ambrose community is. Another event that I liked a lot was the Green River Ordinance Concert last year. They are a great band!
What would be your dream job?
I would like to be a physical therapist or a journalist.
Do you have any fun facts to share about this year’s family weekend?
This is actually the first year for the carnival. In past years there has always been a banquet on the Saturday of Family Weekend. However, due to the low turnout in years past we’ve decided to change it up this year and do a carnival instead.
What is one of your goals as CAB president?
I really want to get more clubs involved with CAB. I am always open to having other clubs co-sponsor events with us.
What is your favorite sport or sport’s team?
I really like basketball. For college I like the Creighton Blue Jays, and for professional basketball I like the Chicago Bulls.
Have you studied abroad?
Yes, I spent a semester in Ireland and did Father Bud’s winter Rome and Christianity trip.
What are two things you have with you at all times?
My cell phone and my rings
Where is your favorite place to get work done at Ambrose?
Study room on Second floor of the link between Tiedemann and Hagen
What advice would you give to freshmen?
Get involved in something that you normally might not.
Take risks.
Keep an open mind.
Don’t forget to stay focused, but still have fun.
