Ah, recruitment. One of the most enjoyable, but also stressful times of the year. As an active, going through a day of recruitment is emotional, fun, but also overwhelming. By being prepared, you can be ready for anything recruitment weekend will throw at you.

Slippers are always a must. After wearing heels all day, changing into your comfiest pair of slippers or slides will make the biggest difference in the world.
Extra clothes

As soon as the day is over, being able to change out of your dress and into your favorite pair of sweatpants right away will not only make you feel more relaxed, but also help you stay attentive to your meeting afterwards.
Hair products

Whether it’s hairspray, extra bobby pins, your curling iron, or even just your lucky scrunchie, bringing your hair products with you to recruitment can help you add a few last minute touches to help you look and feel your best if you have spare time before the next party happens.
Snacks

Let’s face it – talking can be exhausting AF. Especially after long hours without food or water, being able to run over to your bag and get a granola bar or Goldfish out will drastically change your mood. #Hangry
Setting spray

We’re human and we sweat. Setting spray can help your make-up last all day and not melt off while you’re talking to a PNM. I highly recommend using a setting spray from Urban Decay or Tarte Cosmetics.

It’s always nice to have your lipstick, mascara, or foundation nearby just to do a quick touch-up each round!
Our chapter wishes you the best of luck with recruitment, actives! Be sure to talk to your Big or other sororoity sisters to see what their recommendations are on what products you need to survive recruitment.
