Taylor Swift may be a name you’ve heard countless times this year. Commencing her iconic and highly anticipated concert tour this year, known as the Eras Tour. The tour kicked off in Glendale, Arizona. The tour featured an incredible 44-song setlist, complete with numerous show-stopping performances, including wardrobe changes and amazing set designs. Taylor concluded the US leg of the tour with a six-night run in Los Angeles, California.

A few weeks later, Taylor announced the concert film, titled the Eras Tour Movie. This sent the internet into a frenzy, with thousands of fans eagerly anticipating the release. Securing tickets for the Eras Tour concert was not easy; fans were selected by Ticketmaster to purchase tickets online, and they sold out within minutes. This only increased the anticipation for the Eras Tour Movie, especially for fans who missed out on the live concert experience.

Taylor, the mastermind that she is, always manages to include hidden clues and puzzles in her projects. For the Eras Tour Movie, tickets were priced at $19.89, a nod to her album “1989,” set to be re-released on October 27, 2023. This re-release includes songs from the vault, which are unreleased tracks that didn’t make it into the original album. Participating movie theaters also announced the availability of Eras Tour popcorn buckets and soda cups for purchase, each theater offering its own unique version.

In Los Angeles, California, Taylor surprised fans by announcing a premiere of The Eras Tour Movie, set to take place on the night of October 11th. Fans eagerly speculated whether Taylor would make an appearance, adding to the excitement. To attend the premiere, fans had to be hand-selected by Taylor and her team, based on their Spotify music accounts.

Having scored early opening day movie tickets for Thursday, October 12th, I was thrilled. Even though I had previously secured tickets to Taylor’s second LA concert, I was excited to relive the experience. The two-hour and 49-minute movie concert was amazing. I purchased the exclusive popcorn bucket and cup that AMC theaters were offering, along with the Taylor Swift Eras Tour tote bag and light stick that was available for purchase as well.

I had a fantastic time attending with my friends, singing along to Taylor’s discography and spotting new details that I had missed when attending the concert in person. Swifties can now watch the film in theaters themselves.
