Want to be a savvy shopper? Make sure to keep your student ID in your wallet at all times. Every college student can easily save money just by bringing their student ID with them. A number of stores and companies offer student discounts so it’s important to take advantage of that while you’re still student. That little plastic card goes a long way from discounts for clothing and movie tickets to Apple products. Here’s a list of some college student discounts.

CLOTHING

  1. Ann Taylor: 20% off
  2. J. Crew: 15% off
  3. Banana Republic: 15% off
  4. Club Monaco: 20% off
  5. Charlotte Russe: 10% off
  6. Top Shop: 10% off
  7. Madewell: 15% off
  8. Urban Outfitters: 10% off  (select dates only)
  9. Juicy Couture: 15% off
  10. Steve Madden: 10% off
  11. The Limited: 15% off
  12. TOMS:  Students get free shipping on all orders online.
  13. ASOS:   By shopping ASOS through StudentRate.com you can get free shipping.
  14. Ralph Lauren Rugby: 15% off

ENTERTAINMENT

  1. AMC Theaters:  Watch a movie on Thursdays to recieve discounted tickets.
  2. Cinemark Theaters: Participating theaters offer discounted tickets.
  3. Regal Theaters: Up to 20% off on select shows and dates.
  4. Asian Art Musuem: $7 with ID.
  5. de Young Musuem: $6 with ID.
  6. San Francisco Musuem of Modern Art: $12 general admission tickets.
  7. Exploratorium at the Palace of Fine Arts: $12 general admission tickets.
  8. The Cartoon Art Musuem: $4 general admission tickets.

ELECTRONICS:

  1. Apple: offers up to $200 off a new Mac computer. There are back-to-school promotional sales every year.
  2. Sony: 10% off merchaindise.
  3. Verizon: 18% off your bill.
  4. Amazon Student: This isn’t exactly a discount but Amazon offers a free Amazon Prime trial for 1 year which includes unlimited free 2-day shipping with all orders and a one-day shipping upgrade for college students.
  5. AT&T: If your school is affiliated with the AT&T Business Center like San Francisco State University, you’ll receive a discount off your monthly bill! At SFSU it’s 10% off.
  6. Sprint: They offer a college discount program to select schools. Enter your school’s name on their website to see if you’re eligible.

FOOD:

  1. Subway: Select locations offer 10% off your entire purchase.
  2. Buffalo Wild Wings: 10% off entire meal.
  3. Chipotle: Some stores will give you a free drink.
  4. Arby’s: 10% off entire meal.

TRAVEL:

  1. Amtrak: : By having a Student Advantage Card you’re eligible for 15% off of rail fare.
  2. Greyhound: up to 20% off on select tickets.
