Festive Study Breaks to Get in the Holiday Spirit

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at San Francisco chapter.

Finals are the worst. What makes them even worse is that they intrude on all the holiday festivities. It’s really hard to Deck the Halls while cramming for exams. Personally, this has lead to a strong internal battle to either watch Elf and Love Actually or actually try to write my research paper.

My solution: Everyone needs a study break sometimes! I’ve compiled a list that will allow you to fully embrace the magic of the holidays within 20 minute study breaks.

Dance party to Christmas music Getting the heart pumping is good for studying, so feel free to get crazy to “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree!”

Holiday themed workout Want a more structured way to exercise during your break. Try this fun workout from Blogilates set to “All I Want for Christmas.”

Hot cocoa break Nothing says holiday season like a hot seasonal beverage. I recommend making hot chocolate and sprinkling in crushed peppermints for an extra treat.

Make christmas cookies Make fresh baked cookies for your study snack. To make sure this process doesn’t take to long, try a simple recipe like this one or better yet, get store bought!

Happy holidays!
