Fall, the season of dark colors making their comeback, pumpkin spice overload, and if you’re like me, candy corn’s sweet resurrection. I think summer revolves around fruity sweets, floral dresses, and sweaty foreheads. For me, autumn brings chocolates, caramel, and best of all, Halloween movies galore.

A few of my favorite things about fall are:

1. Dresses with tights, sweaters with leggings

I’m notorious for hating pants as much as the next girl, so when fall rolls around, I’m bound to be wearing either dresses with tights or sweaters with leggings. The comfiness of either choice of bottoms combined with the chicness of a dress or sweater help make you look put together for school or work without any fuss.

2. Warmer tones

Whether it’s the leaves or just your wardrobe, fall brings warmer and deeper tones back into play. The warmth of brown and orange hues causes you to feel festive, and you’ll find yourself adding rustic colors into your clothing, drinks, and even your makeup.

For this season, I’ve been loving peachy and brown tones played out on my eyes or lips. Recently, I’ve been obsessed with the Too Faced Just Peachy Matte eyeshadow palette (which is also cruelty-free!)

3. The weather

Although I love San Francisco weather year-round (besides the rain), fall weather here is even more magical. The perfect balance between hot and cold temperatures allows you to wear sweaters without burning up or getting too cold.

4. The food

Fall also brings on comfort food. Whether it’s mashed potatoes or butternut squash, fall is reminiscent of home-baked, carb-filled cuisine. One of my favorite recipes includes cauliflower rice (a recipe can be found here), which pairs perfectly with coconut curry.

Here are just a few of my favorite things about fall, hopefully they’re yours as well!
