Domestic Abuse Awareness Month

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at San Francisco chapter.

In honor of Domestic Awareness month, our team at Her Campus SF want to help spread awareness of domestic abuse and inform students of the aid that is available.

San Francisco State provides on campus support for anyone who is a victim, or a survivor of abuse.

The SAFE Place is a resource center for sexual violence prevention and crisis intervention. A team of student educators and professionals work together in supporting students in the areas of sexual assault, domestic violence, sexual harassment and stalking. Students have the opportunity to receive counseling, medical care and self-defense classes.

Abuse of any kind can be a traumatic and difficult experience to deal. Sometimes it takes outside assistance to handle such an issue. You may be facing a troubling situation, but you are not alone.

There is hope, and there is help.
