American actress Meghan Markle is stepping out of the big screen and into the royal spotlight.
Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement, people have been wanting to know more about the future Duchess of Sussex.

1. She’s a humanitarian
Markle’s humanitarian work includes working with the charity One Young World and being an ambassador for the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women.
2. You’ve Seen Her Outside of Suits
Other than playing Rachel Zane in the legal drama, Suits, Markle’s acting career is extensive and impressive. Not only has she played characters in popular TV shows such as CSI: Miami and CSI: NY, Castle, and Without a Trace, but she was also the holder of Case #24 in Deal or No Deal.
She also played Tatiana in Get Him to the Greek, Megan in Remember Me, and Jaime in Horrible Bosses.
3. She graduated from Northwestern University
The Northwestern University alum graduated back in 2003 with a degree in Theater and International Studies.
