Like Netlfix, YouTube has become an outlet for binge entertainmnet. Netlfix may boast a wide array of films and TV shows, but on the other hand, YouTube boasts creative and interactive entertainment. In the past few years, the phenomena of the ‘YouTuber’ has arised. YouTubers can be defined as people or groups whose videos have become widely popular, or have obtained a gargantuan amount of subscribers. As mentioned, just like Netflix, pigging out on the couch and watching YouTube can be just as addictive as the Netflix  stream. Over the past couple of months, I have become slightly addicted to this practice. It is often more entertaining than watching cheesy reality TV; there is such a wide array of YouTube personalities out there, and I have accumalted a list of my top 4, that you should subscribe to. So weather you want to spend 2 hours on your laptop with fits of laughter, or you simply want to take a quick 3 minute break from studying, this list is for you.

No. 4 Joey Graceffa:

Joey Graceffa is a 23 year old Youtuber from Boston who creates video blogs, parodies, and video challenges and collaborations with other people on YouTube. He is young, funny and charming, and has a comedic wit about him. His videos range from ‘would you rathers’, ‘how to’s and many other silly categories. He does usual collaborations with Tyler Oakley. He joined in October in 2009, and has now accumalated 4 million subsribers. With his sunny attitude and fun demeanor, any video that he puts out is an entertaining one! No. 3 Nigahiga (Ryan Higa):

Ryan is mostly a comedic Youtube, but also creates paraodies such as, ‘Dued vs. Wild’, which pokes fun at the Bear Grylls survival show, Man vs. Wild. He also makes ‘what if’ videos and merely vlogs about random topics of the day. It’s quite funny to see what goes on in his head, and to hear him talk about his thoughts out loud. Even watching his fan mail videos is entertaining, since he has 13 million subscribers, he gets fan letters and gifts from all around the world. His main channel is ‘nigahiga’, where ‘niga’ means rant in Japanses, and ‘Higa’ being his last name. His other channel is dubbed, ‘HigaTV’, where he does more causual style vlogs and posts bloopers to his videos. It always amazes me how long it actually takes to make a short 4 or 5 minute video. This may be due to the fact that he often erupts with fits of giggles. This guy is playful and fun, and if you wan something that is is easy to laugh to than this channel is for you. And may I also point out, another entertaining factor that 3 of the listed YouTubers share, is that they are all super cute college age guys. Need I say more? Channel: www.youtube.com/nigahiga

No. 2 The Hillywood Show:

This is one of my favorite YouTube channels out there. The Hillywood show is the creative outlet for sisters Hannah and Hilly Hindi. Both having a background in dance and an eye for photogrpahy, makes this duo hilariously imaginative. The sisters, take popular TV show and movies and add a musical twist to them. Ever wonder what Harry Potter or Docor Who would be like as a musical? Well their channel answers these questions and has turned other popular movies such as Twilight, Warm Bodies and Pirates of the Caribbean into dancing and singing extravaganzas. Their videos offer high quality costuming, hair and makeup, and dialouge to go with their creative ideas. They film on location and always have an talented cast assembled. The show has become so popular on YouTube, it attracted the attention of Lady Gaga, Nina Dobrev, Ryan Seacrest and BBC America just to name a few. Channel: www.youtube.com/JckSparrow

No. 1 Connor Franta:

This guy has recently been the cause of my Youtube binging. This freash faced 21 year old is incredibly charming and down to earth. His videos range from animal impersonations to advice videos such as, ‘how to know if a guy likes you’. I find it incredibly insightful, watching his videos that give a little insight into the wonders of the male mind, plus he has the sunniest smile that can make your day. Videos are published every monday, and he also discusses his adorable love for cats, and often includes his siblings in videos as well. Previosly, he made videos for the channel, ‘Our2ndLife’ but decided to give up on the endeavor, since it became more of a stressful job. He now focuses on his one channel. My personal favorite is, “Thoughts When Living Alone”. Channel: www.youtube.com/ConnorFranta
