It’s time to put away your beach towels, place your bathing suits in storage, and lock up those surfboards, because the summer is over and school is, sadly, back in session at the University of San Diego. Not! While school is back in session, summer is anything but over for the students of USD. And to make your transition to the school season that much smoother, here is a compilation of the 7 best things about returning to our beautiful university! Here it is!
1) Have you ever heard the saying, “we live where you spring break”? Yeah, you have! We honestly live in the land known for its countless sunny days and groovy waves.
2) Whether you’re finding yourself in one of the charming dorms on our beautiful campus, in a lovely nearby apartment, or living at the splendid beach, there’s nothing like having endless sleepovers with your friends! If you ever need to borrow milk or just hang out, living by your friends makes living in San Diego that much better.
3) The hardest part about going to school is the actual school part. Readings, quizzes, and midterms…ugh. But, you know what plays a pretty significant role in making those classes? Your friends! Holla! Are you ready for those first day hugs?! Get ready for the glorious mini reunions.
4) While mini reunions are super, not having a ton of familiar faces in ones class can be a blessing! Well, how so? It means you have the opportunity to make more friends! Who knows, you might find that girl or guy in class who loves The Office just as much as you do…score!
5) Ever get tired of hearing, “wow, your school is soo pretty”? Nope, never. With its Spanish architecture and overall classy style, walking on campus can sometimes feel like you’re regal. We attend one stunning university.
6) Do you have a break in between classes? Not sure what to do on campus? If you haven’t checked it out, our school has gotten even more hip with the addition of our new student store! Whether it’s a pen, a notebook, some books, or USD swag, the revamped student store has what you need! Oh yeah, and did we mention, they have a froyo machine! Holla!
7) As we approach the seventh best thing about returning to USD, we have to tell you that this could be the ultimate best thing about returning to San Diego. Here’s a hint: when these come to town, almost everyone and their neighbor will post a Snapchat of it. If you guessed a sunset, you, lady or gent, are absolutely correct! There’s nothing quite like a San Diego sunset to bring your day to an end.
While school being back in session can sound like a bummer, if you’re a student at the University of San Diego, you are in luck! From living by the beach, to seeing your friends, to going to school at a gorgeous university, to witnessing some of California’s magical sunsets, going to school at USD is a dream come true!
