The crunch time of the semester is among us. It may seem as if you’re drowning in a sea of projects, presentations, and papers.

Don’t worry, these last two weeks of the semester are NOT mission impossible.  If you’re stressing about juggling all your assignments and properly preparing for your finals, I have a few tips that have worked for me in the past, that just might be what you need to push through this crazy part of the semester!

  • Check your syllabus for each class daily. This will prevent you from being aware of assignments at the last minute. You want to make sure you can put your best effort into each assignment you’re given. Nine times out of ten, if you find out about an assignment at the last minute or you forgot about that assignment that is due at 11:59 p.m. and its 11: 45 p.m., you won’t be able to give it your best shot to earn the best grade.

  • Write down ALL your assignments and their due dates in your agenda. Writing down your assignments allows you to properly plan out how you want to tackle your work load. The visual of writing down your assignments can also be a really big help with time management.

  • DON’T PROCRASTINATE! With such little time left in the semester, you literally don’t have room to procrastinate. Procrastinating will only lead to half-ass done assignments and sleep deprivation. Try to complete small assignments as soon as you get them and make goals for how much of an assignment you want to complete daily to complete large assignments!

  • Don’t take the weekend off. After going to class all week, I know the last thing you want to do is more work on the weekends.  Even though doing homework and studying on the weekend may not seem like fun, you will be amazed at how much you can get accomplished in a couple of days.

  • Try to have all large assignments completed or almost completed well before finals arrive. You want to make sure you can dedicate more than enough time to studying for finals. A final can be the difference between a passing grade and failing one, take them seriously.

  • If you become overwhelmed, take a couple of hours or even a day (if you can afford to) to relax and not look at one thing that is school related. It’s important to push yourself but know your limits. The last thing you want to do is to over do it and shut down mentally. Do yourself a favor, don’t forget to take a little break. RELAX!

  • DON’T GIVE UP! Keep pushing, you are almost there. Push yourself these last couple of weeks in the semester so you can enjoy your winter break. The last thing you want is to not give your best effort and get a not so great outcome. Make every assignment count!
