It is 11:34 p.m., I hear the cheers of the intro to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. My face brightens, my smile widens, and my mind is at ease cozying up for a fun new episode.

Now I know what you’re thinking. “Wow, this girl sounds crazy… do you think she has ever dated anybody before?” My answer to the skeptics is …. you might be correct. Full disclosure: I may sound obsessed or “stalker-ish,” I may have lost my readers already, and I definitely am not gaining much street rep as I write this. However, I will continue in the hopes of some reader delight and your help in getting the NBC internship for The Tonight Show.

To Jimmy Fallon, NBC, The Roots, Steve Higgins, and Hashtag the Panda: I am not only writing this to plea to the public for help in gaining my dream internship, I am primarily voicing my pure love for The Tonight Show and everybody involved. Jimmy Fallon fills my nights with happiness okay … so sue me for caring about that light at the end of the tunnel every day. I have watched every episode of The Tonight Show and have yet to miss one. When the fateful night strikes and my routine is broken, and I must watch the episode the next day I feel I am betraying Jimmy Fallon, who obviously relies on my sole, consistent, passionate view every week night.

In all seriousness, I love the joy, humor, and content that I receive from some of my favorite people inside my television. Sometimes people do not understand how obsessed I am with Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show. As one learns more about me, they realize this is the last thing I would joke about. To get through my day, I think about the upcoming episode. I wonder what games are going to be played with guests. What will be included in Friday’s “Thank You Notes”? I can’t wait to hear what The Roots decide to sing to introduce certain guests! Will Questlove do his De Niro impression? Will Higgins reinforce his amazingness? Will one of Tariq’s freestyle raps become a classic? Is it possible to love Jimmy Fallon more than I already do? These are just a selection of the questions that keep me up at night.

I want more than anything to be able to go to a taping of an episode. Just to be in the presence of anybody from Studio 6B might launch me into Heaven. I admire and appreciate everything The Tonight Show does for mine, and I am sure many others, late night television fill!

To plead my case I must mention my work ethic, speed, adaptability, and my quick learning skills to demonstrate my many appealing qualities and abilities as Late Night Jimmy Fallon understands.

I know I am sure you are saying, “Geez stop marketing yourself and get on with your riveting story already!” Why thank you, and I will continue. Some say occasionally my strong love for The Tonight Show “impedes” on my day-to-day work that I should be doing at 11:34. Some say “impedes,” I say enhances. If I am in the process of doing something, I will stop what I am doing to keep up to date with the happenings in the studio.

My time is well spent watching The Tonight Show because I can think about how I can be a great addition to the team! The experience I have had in previous opportunities enable me to day dream about what I can hopefully be doing in between commercial breaks, what I need to run and grab, who I need to tell about what, etc. Watching The Tonight Show makes me imagine more and more about my future behind the scenes of the show I adore.

I love how I am able to learn about current events while bringing humor into the occasional sad or angering day. My day is brightened because I know I am turning on an exciting new episode that is always different. The Tonight Show changes with the times and every viewer is able to find their favorite parts. The variety allows for the audience to pick their favorite parts or segments. I love all of them, but currently I am a huge fan of “Tweets with Beats” because it is such a clever way of combining music, impressions, and the president’s tweets.

It is difficult to express the joy I feel from watching The Tonight Show, and how honored and eager I would be to be contribute to what I love. However, I hope some could understand that I am passionate about late night television that is able to lift up those concluding their day. Whether you have a long Monday, a fantastic day, a sad moment, a rough hump day, or a surprising Friday, you can always turn on the television to join the audience and viewers in a fun filled evening created for the viewers.
