This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Saint Mary's chapter and does not reflect the views of Her Campus.
This week we are featuring our very own, Therese Burke who just happens to be my Her Campus Saint Mary’s partner in crime!
Where are you from? Western Springs, IL
What is your major? Communications major, PR/Advertising minor
What is your position with Her Campus? Campus correspondent (with ME!!)Â
Â
Â
What class year are you? Junior
Â
What has being a campus correspondent done for you? Being campus correspondent has opened up so many doors for me. After writing for the Notre Dame Her Campus, it was really exciting to start our own chapter at Saint Mary’s and see it come together from the very beginning. It has been awesome to see how popular it has gotten and how big our team has become. I already know that being a part of Her Campus will give me a lot of opportunities in the future. I’ve learned so much from writing my own articles and from leading the Saint Mary’s chapter and I hope to continue writing for something like Her Campus in the future! There are Her Campus chapters all over the US (and even in England!) and it is so cool to be a part of a global community full of women all succeeding through Her Campus.Â
Â
What is your favorite thing about Her Campus? My favorite thing about Her Campus is that anyone can contribute. You don’t need to be a writing major to write an awesome article that a lot of people can relate to. Her Campus features articles that are girls our age actually want to read and they are written by normal, college girls who understand what it’s like to be a college woman.Â
Â
Â
Why do you think girls should write for Her Campus? Girls should write for Her Campus Saint Mary’s because it is an awesome way to get involved! Like I said, you don’t have to be a writing major to write a great article. It’s a fun thing to do and having an article published online is a really cool feeling. It is also an awesome thing to put on your resume!Â

Favorite quote: Probably something from The Parent TrapÂ
Â
Favorite movie: You guessed it, The Parent Trap. Actually it’s a tie between Parent Trap and Christmas Vacation.Â
Â
Favorite food: Wish I could say something mature that makes me sound like an adult like vegetables…but I’m going to have to go with pizza.Â
