What activities are you involved in around campus?
I am a captain on the Saint Mary’s Volleyball team, Treasurer of the Student Diversity Board, the Peer Mentor for the Business and Economics Department, a tutor for Intro to Statistics and Business Statistics, member of the Just Student’s Committee, an Ally of SAGA
How do you juggle classes, sports, clubs, AND having a social life?
I love the courses I take which makes it easy for me to get my work done. I enjoy working on projects and homework assignments so I am fully prepared for my classes. I have always liked taking tests which also makes it far easier for me to succeed in the classroom. I love volleyball and I love the SMC athletic department so, like classes, I am excited to go to volleyball everyday. I love my teammates and the 2+ hours I get to spend with them each day are hours I highly value. I am only involved in clubs I fully support the cause of which makes it exciting for me to attend meetings and participate in discussions. And lastly, I am able to have a social life on top of everything because I have met my best friends on the volleyball court which makes it easy to stay connected with them! I work hard during the day to get all my work done and attend all my meetings so I can make some time to relax at night with my friends. I produce my best work when I’m busy which is why I’ve been able to find success in life while pursuing everything I’m interested in on campus!
What will you miss the most about Saint Mary’s?
I will missing seeing my best friends everyday. I’ll miss walking to class and passing one of them and getting side-tracked for a few minutes just catching up on life. I’ll miss the ease of walking two flights down in Opus to hang out with my friends. Luckily, technology will keep us connected but that will be nothing compared to the four amazing years I’ve had with my friends! I’ll also miss the athletic department and Angela because of the hundreds of hours I’ve spent on the court the past four years.
If you could go on a date with any celebrity, who would it be?
I would go on a date with Zac Efron….so I could stare at him :)
Describe yourself in three words:
Optimistic
Independent
Leader
Do you have any advice for your fellow Belles?
Get your work done early so you’ll have time to relax and make fun memories with your friends! If you can work it into your four year plan, study abroad! Try to realize that one bad test won’t make or break your college career so don’t get down on yourself if a paper or exam didn’t go your way. Most importantly, soak up all the opportunities we’re given here because those will turn into amazing memories that will stay with you forever :)
