7 Sure Fire Ways To Rock a Spirit Jersey

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Saint Mary's chapter.

Spirit jerseys are probably one of the most popular articles of clothing in a Belle’s closet. They’re always in style, they automatically make an outfit cute, and, maybe the best part of all, they’re amazingly comfortable.  Everyone looks good in a spirit jersey, no doubt about it.  In light of the recent spirit jersey sale here on campus, I felt inspired to make a list of ways to rock a spirit jersey into oblivion.

1) With leggings. This one is probably the most obvious.  Girls are seen all over campus styling this look, but it still doesn’t hurt to talk about it. Spirit Jerseys are one of the most comfortable shirts you could possibly wear. Why not make the outfit ridiculously comfy by adding your favorite pair of leggings?

2) With a vest. Dress up your spirit jersey with a super swag looking vest. It adds a little pop to the outfit and it’s perfect for fall weather.

3) In a scenic picture.  If you’re a Belle studying abroad and you packed a spirit jersey, did you actually go abroad if you didn’t take a super artsy picture on a cliff or by the ocean wearing it? It makes for an awesome picture that’ll get a ton of likes on Instagram.

4) With a friend! Whether you’re taking a picture in your spirit jerseys on the Avenue or you’re posing with a friend from a different school, spirit jersey pictures with friends make for a great photo and a great memory to look back on.

5) At a Notre Dame Football game. Show your school spirit by rocking a Notre Dame or Saint Mary’s spirit jersey. They’re especially good when that chilly fall weather comes around; they’re thick and durable so they’ll keep you nice and warm!

6) With a scarf. Wearing a scarf with a spirit jersey can be an edgy way to switch things up a bit.

7) In front of Le Mans.  Nothing says Saint Mary’s like taking a picture in your spirit jersey in front of the castle. Add a French Cross necklace or a class ring to the mix and you’ll be golden.
