5 New Trends For The Autumn Belle

As the temperature continues to drop these next few weeks, the daily wardrobe choices will obviously be changing. I went through my closet to recreate some of the latest popular fall outfits with clothes I already had, and you can do the same! Which up and coming fall look will you use to adapt to the new trends in the weather?

1. Aztec Sweater and Riding Boots

The big sweater and leggings is the perfect way to remain comfy and cute during these chilly days. The Aztec sweaters are definitely in right now, and they are the perfect balance of warmth, comfort, and fashion. Paired with some leggings and tall boots, this look is easy to achieve! This outfit can work for any fall occasion, from bonfires to the brisk walk to class.

2.     Simple Dress, Knee Highs, and Riding Boots

If you’re like me, and you love dresses, you can always warm them up with a scarf and some knee highs to add some fall flavor to them! Put some ankle booties or riding boots into the mix, and you have the perfect girly fall outfit! If you choose to opt out of the scarf, you can always use a statement necklace or some other jewelry to add a pop of color to the outfit. This option is great for a night out with friends or a Starbucks run!

3. Simple Black Shirt, Leggings, and Plaid Shirt

I’ve seen this look get super popular over the past few weeks here at SMC. All you have to do is take a basic, neutral color shirt with some black leggings or jean shorts, then add some color with a plaid or chambray shirt tied around the waist! Pair the outfit with some converse or ankle boots and you’re ready to go with this casual look.

4. Leather Jacket and Scarf

For my girls looking for a more edgy fall look, I recommend lots of leather! A leather jacket can get an autumn touch with a scarf, and looks great with a black skirt and tights, or some jeans. For shoes, I would top the look off with some black boots. This look is sure to be a hit for a night over at Notre Dame, or a girls night out!

5. Plaid Shirt, Leggings, Combat Ankle Booties

For a more casual look for classes or errands, a simple plaid shirt and some comfortable leggings will do the trick! Paired up with some cute ankle booties and a beanie, this outfit provides an easy, cute look for the day. The beauty of this look is the simplicity and comfort.
