Say bye bye to those negative habits.

  1. Perfectionism

Perfectionism isn’t possible. Trying to achieve something that’s literally unattainable will only result in you feeling “less than”. It makes us unhappy and gives us low self-esteem. Allow yourself to screw up and fail to be better next time and most importantly, to move on.

2. Judgement over others

It’s impossible for human beings not to have an immediate first impression. It is what we do, we judge without thinking. But don’t let that first impression influence your whole opinion about people AND don’t let that determine the way you treat them because who knows, you could end up missing out on an incredible person.

3. Self-doubt

Self-doubt and fear go hand in hand. They lead us to believe that the risk associated with trying something new is greater than the risk of remaining in our current situation. Doubting yourself will only stop you from pursuing the things you want.  To sum up, self-doubt is a weed that will take over your life if you don’t kill it at root.

4. Assuming the worst will happen

Assuming the worst will likely also turn little problems into big ones. This means you will anticipate issues so much that you will end up creating them yourself. Although it  means you are never disappointed when bad things happen, it will exist in your life like a constant battle between yourself and your wishes to live a more positive life. If you never think things will be better, they won’t be… and you can kiss hope goodbye.

5. Worry

Worrying is a normal feeling, until we let it influence and take over our thoughts and future actions. The truth is, it changes nothing except your health and mental state. So relax, do your best and let life happen.

6. Complaining

Complaining is by far one of the worst habits we all need to quit (or do less of). It not only sets the worst mood for you but for others too. Yes, some things are not as much to our liking but complaining only makes things worse. We just have to learn how to roll with them because life’s a happy rollercoaster my friends. Plus, when you complain you only focus on the negative things, and that only takes you to setting yourself up for never being content or happy.

7. Trying to control everything

Having a plan and watch it fail miserably is disappointing. Control = security. We tend to feel safe when we are in control. If we are in the driver’s seat then everything is ok and nothing can go wrong. But the truth is, you can’t control everything and when you try and inevitably fail, you will only blame yourself. Stressing over your lack of controlling everything  will only make you lose track of the things you can control and the things you change for a better life of your own.
