Everyone knows about the latest trend… Charcuterie Boards, or as you may know them Shark-Coochie Boards. They go with any occasion and can have a little bit of everything for everyone present. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to go above and beyond and spend a fortune on some delicious cheeses, spreads, etc… but here are a few staples you should definitely consider trying.

Suggestions

  •     Number one on the list of cheeses that should definitely make your Charcuterie selection is Boursin Cheese. This is a delicious, creamy, spreadable cheese that is frequently being sold in stores all over. The original garlic and herb flavor cannot be beat! This is delicious with some fig jam or any kind of jam that you prefer on any kind of plain cracker! This cheese is even good on a cracker alone, you cannot go wrong.
  •     My next suggestion for your board would be some nice gouda, this sliced is delicious with a Triscuit or either a plain or flavored Carr’s cracker. Whatever your taste buds are feeling. I would also suggest throwing a cheddar, maybe sharp, on there for the plain people in the group. Ritz crackers, they do make fancy ones now if that is the vibe, are always an option as well. Any cheeses or flavors you like, throw it on there! Pair it with a cracker that you think goes best, there are no wrong answers! All cheese is good cheese!

Accoutrements     Now here comes the fun part! A Charcuterie Board would not be aesthetically pleasing and worth posting on your Instagram story if it wasn’t for these things. Mini gurkins, blueberries, figs, grapes, nuts, beautifully folded meats, you name it!

Whatever you decide to put on there, have fun with it! Enjoy!
