8 Songs You Didn’t Know You Needed on Your Fall Playlist

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Sacred Heart chapter.

As we’re *falling* into the second half of the semester, it’s time to spice up your playlist! I’ve put together a collection of must-have bops that will have you dancing in the kitchen and singing in the car.

1. “Nice To Meet Ya” by Niall Horan

Niall Horan is back and better than ever! The former 1D star is ready to start off a new era with “Nice To Meet Ya”, a groovy single which is to be followed by his sophomore solo album! This bop has me dancing through my daily routine, and it’s definitely a MUST on your fall playlist.

2. “Lights Up” by Harry Styles

Following his bandmate’s release of “Nice To Meet Ya”, former 1D icon Harry Styles recently dropped his new single “Lights Up”. This duo has me feeling nostaglistic and missing One Direction! “Lights Up” is a new sound for Harry Styles, with a unique rhythm and catchy chorus, this song is my new favorite this fall.

3. “Lose You To Love Me” by Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez recently surprised the world with a new song “Lose You To Love Me” and everyone is obsessed. In the song, Gomez sings about break ups, healing, and self love. While fall is the perfect season to let things go and move forward, Selena Gomez’s “Lose You To Love Me” is an essential self-love anthem this fall.

4. “Liar” by Camila Cabello

Over the past year, former Fifth Harmony member, Camila Cabello, has definitely made a name for herself following her first solo release, “Havana” in 2018. “Liar” is a jazzy, Latin-inspired song that makes me want to get up and DANCE. It’s groovy, it’s catchy, it’s fun! I’ve had this song on repeat for the past few weeks, which is exactly why it’s must-have on your playlist!

5. “Teeth” by 5 Seconds of Summer

As we all know, Halloween is right around the corner! Released earlier this year for the soundtrack of the Netflix original series, 13 Reasons Why, “Teeth” is the perfect fit for getting in the spooky spirit this October. This chilling song by 5 Seconds of Summer is a totally unique sound that has allowed the band to stand out from other artists this season.

6. “Used To Be” by The Jonas Brothers

I think we can all agree that the Jonas Brothers comeback has been one of the biggest highlights of 2019. “Used To Be”, my favorite track from the new JoBros album Happiness Begins, is a slow, sad song about missing someone. “Used To Be” features beautiful lyrics from the brothers that has the fans looking back on the old Jonas Brothers days.

7. “Haunt You” by Social House

Social House is an up and coming music duo most known for their summer jam “Magic In The Hamptons,” and their feature on Ariana Grande’s single, “boyfriend”. Social House’s “Haunt You” is a fitting title for spooky season, but this song is a slower track with a calm, acoustic guitar background. This song is a new vibe for Social House, and it’s the perfect song for a beautiful fall day.

8. “Post Malone” by Sam Feldt (featuring RANI)

What better way to wrap up your playlist than with an EDM jam? “Post Malone” by Sam Fedlt is the perfect song for spreading good vibes throughout your busy day. Not to mention, the song is named after one of the biggest artists out right now, Post Malone! This song will have you dancing in no time. Play it in the car, while studying, or at a party! “Post Malone” is a song perfect for any time of day.

Listen to this playlist, add your faves, and make sure to share with your friends! These songs will have you singing and dancing in no time. Enjoy!
