Do you ever wake up in the morning, go to your closet and feel like you have nothing to wear? Lacking some statement items to make any outfit fun? Here are three ways to revamp your old jeans into something new!

1. The ripped knee

You’ve seen these jeans everything. Pacsun, Urban Outfitters, heck even in Macy’s, but why buy a new pair of jeans when you can make your own pair?

First, try on the jeans, mark with chalk with something that will wash out a line cross the jeans on your knee where it folds. Then, take off the jeans and cut a small hole in the center. Cut both directions about an inch from the seams and you have a brand new pair of ripped jeans!

2. Distressed hem

For this look, all you need is scissors and an old pair of jeans. Simply cut the hem off the pants as closely as you can to the end and try them on. If you want them a little shorter cut off more but if not throw the jeans into the washer and dryer, the cycles will do all the distressing for you leaving you with a cute new stylish look!

3. Striped side

This look has become widely popular in the last year, having a colorful stripe along the side hem of a pair of jeans. To make your own pair of these all you need is one inch ribbon, an iron, and iron on adhesive tape. Lay the pair of jeans down so the seam is flat on a flat surface.

Then, take the ribbon and measure out along on the jeans how much ribbon you will need. Then cut the ribbon and add the adhesive along or over the seam. Finally, place the ribbon onto the adhesive and iron it on. You now have stylish pair of jeans that adds a pop of color to any outfit!

And there you have it, three different ways to had some flare to your old jeans that will make any outfit feel new again!
