10 Pumpkin/Fall Foods We’re Obsessed With

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Sacred Heart chapter.

Fall is in full swing, and you know what that means; PUMPKIN EVERYTHING! We’ve included some local restaurants around campus as well as chain restaurants and foods you can pick up on the go to get your pumpkin fix!

But seriously, these Fall foods are must haves if you’re trying to fully immerse yourself in the Autumn festivities on campus.

1.) Cheesecake

The Cheesecake Factory is known for its huge slices of cheese cake. Available in September, enjoy these Fall twists on the classic cheesecake, Pumpkin cheesecake and Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake.

2.) Lattes

We can’t talk about Fall food favorites without mentioning Starbucks Lattes. This year instead of the classic PSL (Pumpkin spice latte), they are introducing a new latte flavor, Maple Pecan lattes. Give both a try, you won’t be disappointed!

3.) Donuts

Places like Donut Crazy in Bridgeport, and Dunkin Donuts are getting in the fall spirit with new Fall flavors. Donut Crazy is offering “October Crazies” featuring Pumpkin Pie and Caramel Apple flavored Donuts. Dunkin is offering creative twists on classic flavors such as “Boston Scream donuts” and a “Spider Donut” that uses a chocolate munchkin as a spider.

4.) Queso

Although it isn’t “Fall Flavored” it is orange, and it’s coming just in time for Fall. Chipotle’s new “All-Real Queso” is here and we’re living for it.

5.) Granola

If you’re a foodie in need of a new instagram pic, then seriously, head over to The Granola Bar. (located in Westport and Stamford). The Granola Bar features soups, salads, sandwiches, coffee, smoothies, and of course, granola. Some of their Fall menu items are Maple Cinnamon coffee, and their Cinnamon honey granola.

6.) Salad

If you love locally sourced food, then head on over to B Good in Fairfield for some healthy Fall eats. Some of our favorites are the “Apple Bacon bowl” that includes, kale, avocado, NH bacon, apples, pomegranates, and dried cranberries; along with sunflower seeds, scallions, and red wine vinegar. We also loved their Roasted butternut salad, and classic pumpkin smoothies.

 7) Smoothies

Staying on our health kick, Robeks Smoothies in Fairfield has a great low calorie fall flavored smoothie. The “Active Apple” contains apple, mint, lime, pineapple, banana, pineapple sherbet, and low calorie active water.

8.) Oatmeal

Not everyone can eat a sit down breakfast while in college(or breakfast at all), which is why Oats are a great alternative to pancakes and waffles because they can be made overnight or within minutes. Quaker Oats is offering a limited edition fall inspired quick oats mix, Pumpkin spice flavored of course.

9.) Noodles

Yes you read that correctly, noodles! Mecha Noodle Bar in Fairfield is hopping on the fall food wagon with this Autumn inspired section of their menu which includes, Yellow Curry Mussels– made with crispy potato strings, herbs and lime zest. Also on the Autumn menu is Kinoko Miso Ramen, made with mushroom dashi, shiitake salad, king trumpet and shio kombu.

10.) Fro Yo

Even though it’s getting colder outside, doesn’t mean that you can’t still enjoy a cold desert. 16 Handles in Fairfield has some Fall themed flavors, including cinnamon donut and pumpkin pie.

These fall inspired treats are sure to keep you satisfied all season long!
