Comfy sweaters, warm drinks, and colorful leaves. These are things that come to mind when someone asks me about the fall season. The temperature is starting to drop, which means it’s  time to embrace the autumnal equinox. Also, Thanksgiving and Halloween are right around the corner. To get into the festive season, here are some fun recipes to try that are popular during this time.

Apple Cider doughnuts

Apple cider doughnuts are intensely flavored and perfect for the fall as they are packed with apple and cinnamon aromas all over the baked goods. It pairs absolutely well with your morning coffee or tea.

Pumpkin pie

Pumpkin is ideal for the fall season, so you definitely want to incorporate it in your desserts. In pie form, it’s flavored with cinnamon, powdered ginger, nutmeg, and cloves. The aroma of pumpkin pie is very alluring, and it will make you salivate  for sure. Moreover, it pairs perfectly with whipped cream on the side.

Caramel apples

Caramel apples are one of fall’s greatest pleasures. Not only are they fun to make, but they can also be personalized based on your taste. The only ingredients you need to make this recipe are: apples (obviously), caramel syrup, and your favorite toppings.

 Pumpkin spice latte

Another popular drink that is popular in the fall is the pumpkin spice latte. This drink could be served either hot or iced. However, the ingredients are similar in both types of drinks. All you need to do is add the pumpkin spice to your choice of milk. If you would like to add sweetness to your drink, then you’re more than welcome to add your choice of sweetener.

Butternut squash soup

Fall can get pretty chilly at times, and it makes us want to try something filling and warm. Moreover, I absolutely love this soup because it has a very creamy texture, and it pairs well with the cold weather. Although butternut squash soup requires more ingredients as compared to the previous recipes, it is definitely worth the try. It is also very easy to personalize this dish based on your dietary needs.

Now that I have listed all my favorite recipes that are popular during the fall, I hope you have fun preparing the dishes. Moreover, there are so many other recipes out there that are well-known during the fall, but these are my personal favorites. Trust me, the dishes may seem complicated at first, but it is worth your time.
