We’ve all heard the phrase “Money can’t buy you happiness,” but what if it can? There is no denial of the positive surge one feels when purchasing an item they want. Although giving in to consumerism feels wrong, it’s important to remember to not splurge on multiple items all at once. Create a rewards system where after the completion of a major task or goal, you can treat yourself to a product you’ve been eyeing for a long time. Here are some ideas on what you can purchase.

Frog Güiro

If cottagecore were an instrument, it would be this frog güiro. Simply using the wooden scraper against the frog’s back exudes peak ASMR tingles. The frogs come in a variety of sizes, which produces an assortment of “vocal” ranges.

Knitting and Crochet Kits

What better way to spend your quarantine time than by creating your own fashion piece. Luckily, companies like Wool and the Gang offer kits to help you get started on your knitting/ crochet journey. They have an array of kits ranging from beginner to advanced, so there’s no need to worry if you can’t complete the mini-project.

Plushies

The feeling of holding a soft toy brings comfort and warmth to people. Not only are plushies snug, but they appear adorable and friendly like the ones sold by LINE FRIENDS INC. No matter what age you are, having these cuddly friends grants solace during times of struggle.

Platform Boots

Boots in general make me feel powerful. But platform boots are on another level (literally!). This pair from LAMODA is gorgeous, and I would let anyone who is wearing it step on me. Whoever designed these boots deserves a raise!

Keyboard

Although laptops already come with a keyboard, there’s just something extraordinary about a Bluetooth keyboard like the ones made by Logitech. Perhaps it’s the clicking noise made when tapping the keys. Maybe it’s the efficiency of being able to take the board with you. Whatever that reason may be, the purchase feels productive.

Hopefully, these suggestions helped you generate ideas on products you want to buy for yourself. Remember to not over-consume and make purchases you can’t afford. Find a balance for yourself, and indulge in what brings you satisfaction. We all deserve an opportunity to treat ourselves when we feel at our lowest.
