Everyone knows that when you go home for the holidays, you have to see all the extended family who you probably haven’t seen in awhile. And because you haven’t seen them in so long, they always have a million and one questions about how your life is going. The worst part about the matter is that it seems like every family member asks the same repetitive questions. Here are the top 5 questions that college kids are dreading this holiday season.

1. How’s School?

In reality, you’re broke, tired, and drowning in debt and homework, but no one actually wants to hear that, so instead you just keep smiling and pretending that you’re loving your life and not struggling at all.

2. “What’s your Major”/“What are you going to do with that?”

This question is one of the worst, because you either don’t know what you want to do or if you do know, you’ll have that one family member that will tell you that you’re “wasting your time” or “won’t find a job with that” or “won’t make enough money to support yourself.”

3. Any question relating to your love life

This should be a simple yes or no question, but if you do have a significant other, then one nosy family member will continue to ask you more questions that you don’t want to answer because they’re usually embarrassing and all you really want to do is eat the good food that you missed while in college. And if you don’t have a significant other, then you’ll probably get thousands of questions asking you why, and if you’re actively looking for one. Oh, and if you’re really lucky, one of your family members will know “the sweetest boy/girl that also goes to your school!”

4. Are you spending all your money wisely?

Let’s just say that I take advantage of the free stuff that’s offered all around campus. Oh, and can I get that Christmas money now please?

5. Do you get enough sleep?

LOL good joke.
