I’m a strict vegetarian. Sometimes when my school cafeteria menu is extra tragic, I’m feeling lazy or I have a lot of assignments due I resort to eating out. Whenever I eat out I try to find the cheapest but most filling meal. For a while, I envied people who could just order McDonald’s (which has little to no vegetarian options). But after a few years of searching for vegetarian food, I found some full-proof fast food options.
*Disclaimer* Sometimes restaurants will cook vegetarian meals with their meat options! When in doubt ask if the restaurant workers if they can cook or fry your food in a separate place! :)
- Burger King-The Impossible Whooper
-
My absolute favorite veggie burger. The Impossible Whooper tastes amazing, it’s filling and it’s vegetarian friendly.
- Pizza Hut-Impossible Sausage Pizza
-
This pizza slaps! I haven’t had sausage pizza since I started being a vegetarian seven years ago. Tasting the Impossible Sausage Pizza was like revisiting my favorite childhood pizza topping. I’m obsessed.
- Taco Bell-Pretty Much Anything Replaced with Beans
-
Taco Bell is honestly one of my favorite vegetarian-friendly fast food restaurants. I love that you can replace pretty much any meat-based meal and ask for it with beans instead.
- Dunkin Donuts-Beyond Sausage Breakfast Sandwich
-
Don’t go into eating this sandwich thinking that it’s going to taste like sausage. It’s slightly different than that. The “meat” has a little bit of a kick to it that tastes absolutely amazing.
- Subway-Veggie Delight
-
This customizable sandwich is not only healthy but absolutely delicious too.
- Mcdonald’s-Egg and Cheese McMuffin
-
Mcdonald’s doesn’t have a lot of vegetarian options. But, the Egg and Cheese McMuffin is a wonderful option. I’m obsessed with breakfast foods and this one won’t disappoint.
- Chipotle-Anything with Sofritas
-
Like Taco Bell Chipotle is a highly customizable restaurant. Sofritas is one of my favorite fast food proteins and Chipotle’s burritos are to die for. You can’t go wrong with a sofritas based meal.
As the world becomes more vegetarian friendly I can’t help but to eagerly await the new vegetarian options at my favorite fast food restaurants.
