Rowan Success Network powered by Starfish© helps students succeed

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Rowan chapter.
Glassboro, NJ – Rowan students in the next couple days will receive email from

Starfish© regarding their academic progress as part of an early alert initiative launched

last Spring.

The Rowan Success Network (RSN) powered by Starfish© is an online program with

two main goals: 1) improve communication between students, faculty and advisers, and

2) connect students quickly with the people and services they may need for academic

success.

The program aims to identify students who need academic help and connect them to

the appropriate services on-campus. Need tutoring? RSN can help you schedule an

appointment online whatever hour of the day from the comfort of your room.

It’s that simple. No more awkward phone calls or typing out polite emails.

“The Rowan Success Network provides a quick, easy way for students to get the

information they need to be successful,” said Lori Getler, Assistant Director of University

Advising Services. Getler oversees the development and implementation of RSN.

Many students and faculty have found RSN helpful to schedule appointments with

faculty and their advisers.

Getler trains new faculty and introduces new students to RSN whenever she can.

“Whether it’s getting a pat on the back for a job well done from your professor, setting up

a tutoring appointment, or reviewing notes from an advising session—RSN is improving

how we communicate on campus,” said Getler.

For more information, find the Rowan Success Network located on the University’s

homepage under current students or at www.rowan.edu/rsn. Anyone with questions

about the program should contact RSN@rowan.edu.
