I’m a workaholic. I’m not afraid to admit it. When I first entered quarantine I was afraid that my productivity would suffer. I’ve always been a good student so I knew my grades wouldn’t take a hit. But, all my other life goals in life seemed like it had to be paused because of the coronavirus. But, instead of calling it quits I decided that I would have a list of things I wanted to accomplish before I got out of quarantine. Here are a few that I’m really excited about.
- Complete my Grad School Portfolio
-
I can’t believe I’m going to be a senior next semester. I knew that I wanted to go to Grad school since my freshman year. Now that I have my list of schools that I want to apply to all I have to do is actually apply. I decided that I wanted to focus my attention on making sure that my portfolio is done before I enter my senior year so I can perfect it before I actually apply.
- Finish my Weightloss Goals
-
I think I’ve said this like eighty times on this website but I’ve lost thirty pounds so far in my weight loss journey. Originally I wanted to lose thirty more but after seeing how my body looks I think I only have around twenty more to go. I can’t wait to come out of quarantine with my new smoking hot bod.
- Research Possible Career Paths
-
Despite knowing that I wanted to go to grad school I’m still unsure about my career path. I have a list of possible career paths I want to take and I can’t wait to narrow them down.
- Volunteer
-
I used to volunteer a lot in high school. But, as I entered college I lost my way. I’m now happily volunteering with a government-based website to help inform the public about the coronavirus.
- Write As Much As Possible
-
One day I want to be a published author. Sadly, this can’t be done until I have a publishable book. There’s no way around it. I have to start writing.
- Declutter and Reclaim my Stuff
-
I really find minimalism liberating. Although I don’t think that I can ever be a true minimalist I like the idea of only owning things that I find value in. So far, I’ve donated and gotten rid of a ton of stuff that I didn’t value anymore.
-
Despite being an English major I find it really hard to find time to read books that really matter to me. Now that I’m in quarantine I hope to leaf through as many books as I can.
Although the world feels like it’s ending I know it isn’t. And although I’m excited for things to go back to normal, it’s nice to know that I have some time to work on my goals now.
