Looking for a quick weekend escape with your family or BFFs? I’ve got you covered with the best weekend getaways around New Jersey! So start packing because you’re about to find your perfect weekend trip!

New York City:

New York City is truly a magical city. Whether it’s shopping around Manhattan or Soho, taking a ferry to the Statue of Liberty, or seeing a stunning Broadway show, there are endless possibilities in the big apple! And the best part? It’s only a train ride away so you don’t have to worry about driving through the busy city! So grab your girls and enjoy a weekend in NYC!

Philadelphia:

Seeking a city closer to South Jersey? Check out Philly! There are so many historical and cultural sites to check out in Philadelphia. Whether it’s the Liberty Bell, Independence hall, or countless history or art museums, you will definitely find something fun and educational to do in Philly! Plus Philadelphia is a great place to shop! 

Hershey Park:

Looking for a thrilling theme park or a sweet escape (literally), then Hershey Park is the perfect place for you! Hershey park is filled with fun for the whole family! There are plenty of small rides for little kids and lots of huge roller coasters such as Candymonium and Skyrush for older teens/adults. And you can check out Hershey’s Chocolate world which is a whole museum about chocolate and how it’s made! Then you can shop in Chocolate world’s chocolate gift shop! It is a super fun and nostalgic weekend trip!

Kalahari:

Are you into ginormous water slides or a fun resort trip? Then check out Kalahari! It is the biggest indoor waterpark in the US. You can get a room with your best friends and spend the weekend on big slides, pools, and shops! And because it is indoors you can go at any time of the year!

Princeton:

Looking for an adorable town that gives Gilmore Girl fall vibes? Then check out Princeton! Princeton is a historical university town. You can walk around the iconic Princeton University campus with numerous stores and restaurants to explore! It is also a super aesthetic place to take cute pics for your instagram!

Hi! My name is Marisa DeGrazio. I am a sophomore at Rowan University. I am studying Nutrition and minoring in dance. My goal is to become a registered dietitian and to be a professional dancer.
My passions are fitness, nutrition, dance/performing, pageantry, volunteering, writing, and helping/encouraging others. I want to help people become their healthiest and happiest selves. I love writing articles. I am part of the editorial team of Her Campus at Rowan University. I am also working on a children's book. I am also training to become a group fitness instructor and am working on starting a dance charity. I have been dancing since I was three and am training become a professional dancer. This summer I competed in the Miss Teen USA pageant. I absolutely loved it and can't wait to compete in more pageants. I love to volunteer whenever possible. I often volunteer through my church. I am also a member of the Rennervation Foundation which supports kids in foster care.
