With National Potato Chip Day and Everything-You-Do-Is-Right Day in the same month as spring break you’ve got no excuse to not enjoy it, even if you’re not jetting off to “Spring Break Island”.

So you’re not going anywhere for spring break this year. Whether due to lack of financial resources or because you’re going to be sleeping for the next 168 hours straight – you’re not alone! If you’re staying in the city, like me, here are some cool places and events ranging from weird new foods to staying in for the night.

Art/Culture – Step out of your comfort zone and into some performance art!

Art Institute: Free general admission for all Illinois residents! And what better time to go than over spring break!

Chicago Theatre – Janice Joplin, Brit Floyd, and Star Trek’s 50th anniversary concert tour are amongst some of the big events held at the Chicago Theatre.

Onion City Experimental Film & Video Festival – March 3rd – 6th at the Defibrillator Gallery

Exploration Nation – just kidding, its only a city, but you get it.

Explore a new neighborhood!
