Dobrzynski, a senior who was an All-Liberty League Honorable Mention, led the team with 13 goals last season.
When did you start playing field hockey?
I started playing field Hockey when I was in 7th grade so I was around 12 year old.
What does it mean for you for this to be your last season?
It makes me really sad when I think about it, because I have been playing for so long and this is my last year of playing competitive hockey. I really want the team to do well this year, I feel like we have the skill on our team to get to the Liberty League finals and win it.
What are you hopes for this season personally and for the team overall?
I really want to have a winning record. So far we have won our 3 games we have played in. I think we have great depth on our team, we are the strongest we have ever been in my four years playing here and I really want to see us go to the Liberty League Finals.
What does it mean to you to be a student athlete?
To me being a student athlete is the best. Probably one of the greatest benefits I have from being a student athlete is the comradeship I have with my teammates. It’s something I will never forget in my life. People who aren’t student athletes don’t understand how close a team gets, especially ours, in preseason our team is here a week before anyone else and during that time we form great friendships.
Any future plans?
I want to eventually teach high school European, Global or American History. I am applying for Teach for America this fall, so I would love to do that. I went abroad my junior year to Italy, and I loved being abroad so much, that I eventually want to go back and travel around Europe more. If I don’t end up teaching I can see myself working in a museum.
