Ever wish there was a way to make new friends without the struggles of social anxiety or creepy dudes? Hey! VINA, an app by VINA Incorporated is targetting women who want to meet women- as friends!
When you sign up with your email or Facebok, the app allows you to personalize your profile by taking quizzes on things you like to do, for example, if you like coffee, wine, being outdoors, being indoors, daytime, nighttime, or all of the above. It will then give you a filtered feed of other women who have similar interests, and all you have to do is swipe right if you like, left if you don’t, and both of you will be notified if you mutually swiped right. Just like Tinder!
The app is currently only running in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City. Girls in other cities where there isn’t a large enough population of Hey! VINA users will be put on a waiting list. Then, when the app is running in their city girls will be notified via email and they can start searching for their new gal pals, or their vinas, as founders Oliva Poole and Jen Aprahamian call them.
