Transitioning your wardrobe from season to season is never easy, especially when the weather is as unpredictable as Rochester’s is.  I admit I truly have a shopping addiction and when at school it is mostly an online shopping addiction.  I know what you’re thinking, how can you buy something without trying it on?  Sadly, I have my staple stores I usually order from and therefore know just how every style fits.  So, if you are looking to spruce up you wardrobe for fall I am going to highlight a few great trends every girl should follow this fall.

Make sure to purchase a cute flowy blouse.  These are perfect because you can dress them up for your job or internship, but also pull on a pair of jeans and look fresh for class.  This one is from Lulus.com, but I would also check out urban outfitters as well as shopbop.com.

Riding boots. Honestly, a girl can never have too many pairs of boots.  I just ordered a new pair and I am already dreaming of my outfits I am going to create with them.  Obviously, you can never go wrong with a pair of Tory Burch boots or Fryes, but if you are looking for a cheaper boot look at amazon.com or zappos.com for a plethora of options in prices and styles.

Before it actually starts snowing in Rochester and you can get away with just a vest, make sure to pull out a faux fur vest to make a statement. You can find these vests virtually anywhere from Forever21 to Bloomies.

Accessories are not something to go light on or to fear.  Scarves and necklaces are your best friends when completing the perfect outfit.  Statement jewelry especially can really spice up just a pair of jeans and a tee, so don’t be shy.

Lastly, just because it is Rochester and usually grey for most of the year, it doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to be.  One of the biggest trends for fall is bright colors and color blocking.  Just be careful not to go too bright, no one wants to be that girl around campus.
