Best Blazers and Jeans for Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Rochester chapter.

Summer has quickly passed us by which means its finally time to break out the sweaters, scarves, and boots.  Fall is all about comfy and cozy fashion, but to prevent dressing too comfortably in all those layers, I have a little guide to give a look into two of the biggest trends this fall!

Blazers and Jeans are two pieces that almost every girl has in her closet.  Aside from being versatile and comfortable they are essential items for Fall.  They can be layered, accessorized and fun to play around with different looks.

Blazers are great no matter what outfit you pair it with or where you are going.  The blazers that you can throw on without even thinking about it are the best ones.  For a day of classes, work, an interview, or night out they are perfect for keeping handy in the closet.  If you want to take a risk, wear a bright blazer on top of a simple outfit, keep it classy with a tuxedo style for added sophistication, or keep it polished and comfortable in a boyfriend style.  Versatility is a blazers strong point; take advantage of it.

One thing I have come to notice in my time in college is that jeans are the go-to comfort pants when it comes to collegiate fashion.  Lets take this trend to the next level. Colored Denim.

Plum, maroon, teal, and red are a few colors that are coming back for Fall.  If you are willing to take a risk, try some patterned shirts with your pants, as long as the colors coordinate, chic and fashion forward will be your middle name.

Or you can always match any color with a simple top (with a blazer?!) and you are good to go get on with your day in the trendiest of ways.  J Brand, Sold, Rag/Bone, and Free People are a few places that carry great colored jeans.

Take a look below to see what kind of trends inspire you and see what you might be in to! Choose the right style for you, and remember, anyone’s personal shape and style is always in season!
