Driving down route eighty-six

Your window cracked like always

Everything is lovely

The trees have turned earlier here

Than back home

The colors are so vibrant

The pines still green

I’m in love with the fall

I’m in love with you

Change is the only constant

Life means change

Isn’t that beautiful, though?

We pulled over

I grabbed the camera

Running across the street

Everything around us

So beautiful

We take turns with the camera

Capturing the moment

But it never does it justice

We both know that

You push me

You make me better

The hardest mountain we’ve ever scaled

You kept me going

I did it on my own, though

With only your words

energy

and love

as my aid

We did it. Together

And the view?

Worth every bit

The nights are cold

Our tent is small and warm

The fire is still dying

Just outside

The light just barely flickering

Happy

That’s an understatement

Memories with you.
