We know you’ve seen her strutting around campus in those to-die-for get-ups. Christina Wray proves to be a walking billboard for style and truly has a one-of-a-kind style that inspires. Here is Christina on what makes her style so unique, her future goals, and her favorite star fashionistas. Ladies, be inspired.

Making A Difference

Christina’s enthusiasm and zeal captures us from the beginning when she sits down across from us and tells us about her future goals. “I’m very social and I just love children. I like to see them grow and to be a part of that is just amazing.” Christina, an ambitious freshman who is mature beyond her years, says she envisions herself being a elementary school teacher and plans to give back to her hometown of Newark, New Jersey. “I love my city.” Christina’s ambition doesn’t end there. “After that I want to become principal and after I retire from education I want to get into social work and work with children in poverty.” Christina reveals. We love a diva with a plan.

Renaissance Woman

It is hard to put this cutie in a box; Christina loves to do it all. “I love to sing, I love to dance, act and draw. I used to want to be an artist when I was younger. [Laughs] I used to go to the library and get ‘how-to-draw’ books.”  Her creativity is what keeps her busy.

Eclectic Style
Christina divulges that her mood typically sets the tone for what she wears. “Sometimes I can be really girly and preppy. Some people say I have a Rihanna style, sometimes Nicki Minaj, and sometimes I could be a little tomboy when I feel like putting on sweats and a t-shirt.” But never doubt Christina. “I look cute in whatever I wear. I wear what ever I feel like wearing.”

Dress To Impress…Yourself

Though she loves getting dressed and having fun with fashion, Christina admits that she doesn’t feel pressure to dress up everyday. When she feels like slipping on the stilettos and showing off her bountiful curves in trendy threads she most certainly does. When she doesn’t, she simply doesn’t. “I feel like there’s no one to please. Please yourself. A lot of people wake up and they get dressed for other people. I get dressed for myself,” she says matter-of-factly. Could you say that again, Christina?

Recessionista

“Forever 21. It’s my favorite store.” Christina also enjoys shopping at “H&M, Express, Old Navy, Charlotte Russe, and some thrift shops. A lot of cheap clothes. I’m very cheap,” she confesses with no hesitation. “But I make everything look good.” Like any true Recessionista, Christina knows that style doesn’t mean thousands of dollars.

Personal Style
Christina’s style is fun, colorful and different, very much reflective of her personality.  “What I wear is how I feel for the day. When I wear baggy clothes I feel aggressive. When I wear heels I have to be classy, girly.”

Celeb Style Icon

Throughout our time sitting down with her she kept stressing the importance of being true to herself and making style about expression and not repression. When asked about her own style icons her response was as unpretentious as her attitude. “Rihanna…because she just doesn’t care. She dresses how she wants to dress. She just puts anything together and that’s why I love it. It’s different, unique. And fly at the same time. I love her.” we love us some fire red headed Ri Ri too.

Her independence, self-confidence and ambition are what define her attitude. Christina is a mature, level-headed cutie with a blossoming potential beyond words.
