As college started, I neglected to taking time for myself. It is so important to take time for your mental health and your physical health, too. One of my favorite ways to wind down is listening to music and putting on a facemask. My new friends and I have been trying to get together once a week to sit down, have a debrief, eat Dove dark chocolate, and wear face masks. It is the perfect way to relax, get everything off your chest, and feel fresh! My favorite face mask is a Glossier Mask Duo. It can be on the pricier side for a college student, but it will definitely last you for a while. I have had my containers since Christmas, and I am not even halfway through them!If you want to pick something up that is more accessible, I love Tony Moly Sheet face masks. They are super inexpensive (available at Ulta for 3.75 each!)

Besides face masks and dark chocolate, I love taking time to do something different with my hair. Don’t get me wrong – I rock a messy bun like no one else, but I do like wearing my hair down to change things up. However, the Memphis humidity does not love my semi-wavy hair.

Thankfully, Bed Head’s Anti Frizz Spray is here to save the day. Let me tell you, I adore it! I spray it on my brush and run it through my hair for a polished look. I have never had an anti-frizz spray that works wonders like this one. I really feel like Mia Thermopolis post-Paolo makeover.

Especially with midterms rolling around, it’s easy to forget to practice #selfcare. If you can, I highly suggest you pick up a face mask and a new hair product. It is so nice breaking up your daily routine to try out new things, so why not try something out that makes you feel good too? Cheers to feeling good and looking good!

Keep pushing! Fall break is only a few days away!

Aside from studying astrology and listening to live music, I love wearing patterned pants, talking about civil rights, and watching standup comedy specials. Oh yeah! I play cello, too.
