Although the semester is coming to a close, it’s never too early too early to start planning for next semester.  Why volunteer you ask? Not only does volunteering allow you to give back to your community it also looks great on a resume and helps you meet potential business contacts. Start planning your spring volunteering schedule with some of these great places in the Ramapo community!

The Women’s Center
If you want to learn more about feminism and women’s studies maybe the Women’s Center at Ramapo is the place for you. By planning events and getting involved on campus, Women’s Center volunteers will gain leadership experience that they can use on the real world. The Women’s Center also provides volunteering opportunities for community service or for students to fulfill their experiential components for according classes.

The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge
Great for animal lovers, the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge in Oakland is always looking for volunteers! Volunteer positions include, fundraising, office help, as well as kennel help.  Although all volunteer positions require training it’s a great way to help animals in need as well as giving back to your community.

The Mahwah Environmental Volunteer Organization
