Her Campus: Why did you pick Ramapo College?
Thomas Davis: My sister Shannon graduated Ramapo in 2006 and I’ve always looked up to her. I knew that if Ramapo could produce the professional that Shannon had become then that was the footsteps I wanted to follow. You also can’t beat living on such a beautiful campus.
HC: Are you a member of any clubs on campus?
TD: I’ve written for the Ramapo Record, co-hosted This Week in Ramapo and I’m in Lambda Pi Eta’s National Honors Society for Communications.
HC: I hear you have a website and video blog series called “MORE for HIM,” when did you start it?
TD: Yes! It’s been such a great year. I launched MOREforHIM.net early January and it’s been extremely successful. I truly enjoy handing off my male grooming tips to those who are looking to feel more confident in their own skin.
HC: What made you want to start a blog? Was there an inspiration behind it?
TD: I’ve always enjoyed reflecting, whether it’s on my own life experiences or others, I want to share honest, inspirational and relatable stories with the rest of the world. It’s not only been therapeutic, it’s what got me into Columbia’s Graduate M.S Journalism program.
HC: Favorite thing to do outside of school?
TD: My favorite things to do outside of Ramapo are visiting my family and walking my dog Bailey down to the beach.
HC: What do you look for in a partner?
TD: I look for compassion, honesty and reliability. That’s exactly what I have now and I’m very grateful.
