Best Celeb Halloween Costumes of 2014

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Quinnipiac chapter.

Even though Halloween has come and gone, it’s only appropriate that we acknowledge some of the best celebrity costumes of 2014!  Here’s a condensed list of celebrity Halloween costumes, including everything from Michael Jackson to a Cheeto:

Lauren Conrad as a mermaid

Celebrity and fashionista Lauren Conrad took the DIY route this Halloween!  Not only did her costume include real seashells (those must be heavy!), but she also explained on her blog exactly how she made this beautiful costume!  Check it out here.

Beyoncé and Blue Ivy as Janet and Michael Jackson

This famous mommy and daughter duo decided to pay homage to the Jackson family.  Blue Ivy went as the amazing and missed Michael Jackson.  Beyoncé went as the beautiful and talented Janet Jackson.

Heidi Klum as a mythical butterfly

As if she wasn’t already beautiful enough, Heidi Klum chose to dress up as a gorgeous butterfly this Halloween.  This previous Victoria’s Secret model paid great attention to detail and was dressed to the nines in bug eyes and extraordinary makeup!

Katy Perry as a Cheeto

The award for most creative celebrity Halloween costume goes to Katy Perry.  This year, the very successful songstress chose to dress up as a flaming hot Cheeto…genius!  Not only was she covered in flaming orange from head-to-toe, but she also had a matching Cheeto purse.

North West and Penelope Disick as skunks

Although they’re too young to realize just how famous they are, North and Penelope have stolen our hearts in their skunk costumes.  The famous cousins dressed in matching costumes with even cuter face paint!  Kourtney Kardashian posted the adorable photo with the hashtag #cousinlove.

These celebrities have clearly “won” Halloween!  Now that the holiday has come and gone, it’s time to start brainstorming for next year’s costume!  Take some inspiration from these celebrity’s costumes and consider incorporating some of these ideas into your outfit for next year.  Who knows, maybe you’ll end up on a best-dressed list next year.
