Let’s face it, Collegiettes: getting back into the swing of things after Christmas break is a struggle all of us come across. We usually have a love/hate relationship for going back to school. It’s a nice feeling eating home cooked meals, watching Netflix all day and catching up with your high school friends but it’s also great being back at our second home, Quinnipiac University. But let’s not forget the one major downside: going back to class and actually being studious. Despite that, here are five major reasons why every girl at QU should love going back after break!
1. Being reunited with your college friends. Most of your friends probably live in different states; going five weeks without seeing those close BFFs is a bummer, but coming back to school to see them is certainly not!
2. Having complete freedom. For the majority of us, being at home means still abiding by your parent’s rules. After going a whole semester doing your own thing, coming home to restrictions is tough. But no worries, Collegiettes—we’re now back to our own lifestyle!
3. New snacks/notebooks/clothes. Even though starting new classes is a buzz kill, it gives you all the more reason to start again with fresh notebooks (and who doesn’t love a new notebook?!), new snacks to eat while doing work, and new clothes to show off at class!
4. Renewing our school spirit. After long five weeks of Quinnipiac withdrawals, what better way to show your school appreciation than attending a sporting or Greek event?!
5. Making new memories. Us QU girls really know how to make the most of our time while we are at school. Coming back to a new semester is a great way to make more new friends and memories we can cherish forever.
Although being home is great, being back at Quinnipiac is even better. If you ever find yourself more on the hate side of the love/hate relationship for going back to QU after break, remember these five reasons to love it.
