4 of the Best Fall Comfort Foods

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Quinnipiac chapter.

Fall is a time when everyone likes to enjoy the comfort of their own homes (or dorms). A good movie or book can be the perfect remedy for a chilly day when trying to avoid your homework. In addition, there are some foods that you might want to keep within your reach as you procrastinate!

Pumpkin – Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks bring out pumpkin coffees and lattes this time of year. Almost every girl around campus can be seen with some sort of cup sipping on their favorite fall drink. Pumpkin pie could even be your dessert after dinner.

Apple Treats – Carmel apples, apple pies, apple cider. There’s no better time to indulge in these as we get closer to the holidays.

Soups and Stews – As the temperature drops, everyone looks for foods that will keep you warm. Try making your own stew and buy a variety of soups!

Hot Chocolate – When you have a movie night with your girls, hot chocolate with marshmallows are always a necessity.

All of these treats help get us excited for fall and the upcoming winter. New recipes are easy to find, and cooking something with these foods could result in your new favorite comfort foods!
