Top Ten Beauty Products From Sephora

Recently, I became a VIB member at Sephora, which, for those who don’t know, means I’m almost at the premium level. Which also means that I’ve spent way too much money in that store. Makeup is a hobby, I can’t help it! Through a lot of beauty trial and error, I’ve rounded up my ten favourite products at Sephora. Some are a little pricey but I assure you, are well worth it.

  1. Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara- $30.00.

I have tried probably twenty to thirty different mascaras since I first started using it in the seventh grade, ranging from drug store to professional. I’ve stuck with this one for over a year now and I will never look back! The tube lasts months, it lengthens, volumizes, separates, and thickens lashes all with one or two swipes. Ten out of ten!

  1. Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup– $47.00.

Like I said above about mascara, I’ve also been through tons of foundations. This is my first time trying the Urban Decay foundation that someone at the store picked out for me. With foundation, I recommend getting colour matched in store to find the right fit. This brand is lightweight and doesn’t feel cakey at all, yet it delivers coverage that lasts all day long.

  1. Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector- $64.00.

This is a pretty pricey product but I’ve always had some trouble with dark spots. For some reason, whenever my pimples go away, they leave behind a nasty shadow-like spot on my face! Sure, foundation covers it up, but why not get to the root of the problem and actually clear up the dark spots?

  1. Benefit Tint Cheek and Lip Stains – $39.00.

While it seems like a lot of money for a blush, this is way more than a blush. It comes in a few different shades (shamefully, I have them all), and it only takes a tiny little dot to bring colour to your cheeks and lips. I’ve had my bottles for two to three years now, so it’s definitely cost-effective in the long run.

  1. Urban Decay Naked2 eyeshadow palette- $66.00.

While I don’t doubt that all of the Urban Decay Naked palettes are great, I personally did not want to spend $66.00 three times. Naked2 seems suited for any occasion! You can use the colours for a very natural everyday look, or for a fun night out. It’s also pretty cost effective as I’ve had my palette well over a year now and it’s looking like it’ll last me forever.

  1. Urban Decay Brightening & Tightening Complexion Primer Potion- $37.00.

If you couldn’t tell already, I’m super into the entire Urban Decay line. I really recommend this primer, especially if you also get the Urban Decay foundation. My makeup takes me from my a.m classes to my p.m outings. The primer definitely does the job. In general, you should always get a primer that is the same brand as your foundation.

  1. Clinique Sugar Pots Sugar Scrub & Lip Balm- $24.00.

I also really love Clinique! I read about this product in a magazine and decided to give it a shot. It’s a two in one. It’s a small, circle shaped pod with one side being a sugar scrub and the other being a lip balm. If you have dry lips (which everyone does at some point), this sugar scrub and lip balm combo is incredibly soothing! The price is quite reasonable too, considering you get two products.

  1. Origins A Perfect World SPF 25 Moisturizer with White Tea- $53.00.

So this one is pretty pricey but I think a good face lotion is an essential beauty staple. I was searching for a face lotion that also has SPF because of the aforementioned dark spot problem (they say the sun makes that worse), but also because having built in SPF is so important for your skin! Your face skin is so delicate and can get damaged easily so it’s important to protect it.

  1. Murad Acne Spot Treatment- $22.00.

If you ever have those pesky zits that will NOT go away, this is the perfect product for you. I don’t get too much acne but when I do, I get a pretty big zit and it takes forever to go! Rather than invest in a bunch of acne treatments and masks, I spent $22.00 on this tiny little product that targets the pimple and zaps it away within a couple of days.

  1. Too Faced Lip Injection- $29.00.

Since we can’t all be Kylie Jenner and have full lips (without surgery), getting a lip injection product is a great investment. It glides on nicely and really makes your lips look plump and full! No lip liner necessary. A little expensive for a lip product but definitely worth it.

Whether you’re a makeup fanatic like myself or just want to spoil yourself every once in a while, these are the ten products from Sephora that I SWEAR by. Of course, I wouldn’t purchase them all at the same time because just typing out these prices is making me regret so many life decisions. BUT, if you splurge on one or two every now and then, your wallet (and your face) will thank you!
