Being the anti-social person I am, I have a lot of nights in where I’ve got no work to do and I’ve run out of things I’m interested in watching on Netflix. I usually find myself unmotivated to do anything but also too bored to just mindlessly watch TV. So here’s a list of things that I found are great to do for a night in when I’m feeling lazy but also want to do something.

Do a face mask

This one pretty self-explanatory, just grab your favourite face mask, sit back and relax.

Paint your nails

Find inspiration for a new manicure or pedicure on Instagram or even Pinterest.

Take a relaxing bath

Adding a bath bomb, a nice drink and a book or a magazine can make it that much more enjoyable.

Do a hair mask

I like to use coconut oil and leave it in for 30 minutes – to an hour before washing it out in the shower.

Organize

You can organize anything from your work schedule to the clothes in your closet.

Do something creative

It can be a drawing, some fun lettering or even a colourful new makeup look

Start learning another language

You won’t be mastering the language in one night, but taking the first steps into learning a new language will motivate you to keep learning. You can start by watching something you’re familiar with by putting the subtitles on in that other language, or looking at social media where people are speaking the language you want to learn.

Learn something new

It can be about anything you’ve always wanted to learn or something random you just found.

Catch up with your favourite sports team or players

If you’ve been too distracted from work and school or just haven’t had the thought, check up on your favourite sports team or players and see what you’ve missed.

Plan your outfits for the week

Make your week just a little bit more relaxing by having your outfits planned for every day of the week and you can even take the time to look for inspiration on Pinterest or Instagram for fun new ideas on how to wear your clothes.

Research new products for your skincare or makeup routines

It’s always good to change up our makeup and skincare routines but make sure to research new products first.

Do some online shopping

Whether you are looking for some new clothes or something you may actually need but haven’t gotten around to ordering it or even just spending some time browsing the random gadgets on amazon.

Update your music

This is a great time to go and find new music to add to your playlist or go through the songs you have organizing which ones to keep and which ones need to go.

Reading something new

It can be starting a new book, reading a short story you found online or even something informational that interests you.

Start your summer job search

If you haven’t started thinking about what your plans for the summer are, then maybe now’s your chance to start researching potential jobs for the summer.

Plan your Halloween costume

Every year I have no clue what I’m going to be dressing up as and it becomes a very last-minute costume, it’s never too early to start searching for your costume even if it’s only a back up so that you are prepared.

Call your parents or friends

Take this time to get on the phone with your parents or even some friends that you haven’t had the chance to talk to in a while and catch up.

Rearrange your room

Rearranging just a few things in your room or altering the layout can change so much, making the room feel like a completely new space.

Do some yoga

Search up some yoga poses and play some relaxing music and your set for a relaxing evening of yoga.

Learn a new skill

With so many resources that are available online, find a skill you’ve been wanting to learn or peaks your interest and spend the night searching and learning that new skill.
